-Protecting worker rights, improving service quality, and proposing policies… Support for work-life balance and solutions to the low birth rate.

The association aims to build an industrial ecosystem trusted by both workers and users.

The Korea Home Care Platform Association, which includes major domestic home care platform companies, announced on the 5th that Yeon Hyeon-ju, CEO of Life Research Institute, the operator of the life care platform Cheongyeon, has been appointed as the first president.

The Korea Home Care Platform Association is a private solidarity organization established to institutionalize the home care industry and support work-life balance. It was established to protect the rights and interests of industry workers, improve service quality, and provide a forum for policy discussion to address the issues of low birth rates and an aging population.

President Yeon Hyun-ju established the Life Research Institute in 2017 and has led the digital transformation of the home care industry by operating the life care platform "Cheongyeon (Cleaning Research Institute, Cheongyeon Care)". Major platforms, including Life Research Institute (Cheongyeon), Mampyeonhansesang (Momsitter), and Bosapim (Care), are participating in the association. Going forward, the association plans to expand its scope of cooperation beyond platform operators to include academia, research institutes, and social enterprises.

The association's key tasks include: revitalizing home care services, standardizing service quality management, improving the treatment of platform workers, creating jobs for women and seniors, and aligning with and proposing government policies. In particular, the association plans to participate in policy discussions and public hearings organized by the government and local governments on work-family balance and addressing low birth rates and aging populations, and to propose a model for public-private cooperation in the industry.

In addition, the plan is to ▲conduct a survey on the current state of the home care industry ▲develop a standard education curriculum ▲establish platform self-regulation and ethics guidelines ▲publish a ‘Home Care Industry Coexistence White Paper’ and strengthen policy proposal activities to expand social care infrastructure and protect workers’ rights.

Yeon Hyeon-ju, president of the Korea Home Care Platform Association, said, “Housework and care are no longer an individual burden, but rather an area that society must take responsibility for together,” adding, “The association’s first goal is to create an industrial ecosystem that both workers and users can trust, with private platforms at the center.”

Meanwhile, the Korea Home Care Platform Association, in collaboration with Rep. Seo Young-kyo's office, will host a special discussion on the "2025 Population Future Forum" on the 14th. Under the theme "Work-Life Balance through AI Innovation: Finding Solutions to the Population Crisis," the forum will discuss the economic impact and development plans of AI-based home care services and explore practical alternatives.
