The Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA, CEO Kim Hyun-woo) announced on the 10th that it was selected as the best institution among 16 institutions in the 2025 Seoul Metropolitan Government-funded institution management evaluation.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government's Management Evaluation of Institutions Funded by the Seoul Metropolitan Government is conducted annually, pursuant to Article 20 of the "Ordinance on the Operation of Institutions Funded by the Seoul Metropolitan Government," to promote management innovation, enhance efficiency, and establish responsible management. This evaluation focused on the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency's 2024 performance, based on 12 detailed indicators across five areas: leadership and strategy, management system, social responsibility, business performance, and compliance with Seoul Metropolitan Government policies.
The Seoul Economic Promotion Agency achieved outstanding performance across all evaluation criteria, earning the highest rating of "A" (甲), making it the top institution for two consecutive years. Notably, it has maintained the highest rating for the past seven consecutive years.
This achievement was driven by strategic leadership and a commitment to innovation across the organization. The Seoul Economic Promotion Agency contributed to achieving its city goals through: policy proposals based on the CEO's experience in the startup and investment industries; establishment of a company-wide communication system; fostering Seoul's strengths, such as beauty and fashion; and operating the Youth Employment Academy and revitalizing the startup ecosystem.
In particular, as a result of strengthening the startup support system, including providing startup space and operating scale-up programs centered around the 'Seoul Startup Hub,' it achieved the result of being selected as the 'No. 1 Startup Support Center Most Preferred by Startups' in the 'Startup Alliance Startup Trend Report 2024.'
To continue this innovative spirit, the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency has confirmed the reappointment of CEO Kim Hyeon-woo. In his new term, CEO Kim plans to focus on establishing a "Seoul-style growth model" and enhancing the innovation support system to revitalize the economy.
CEO Kim Hyun-woo said, “This evaluation is the result of the collaboration of all employees of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency,” and added, “We will create a new standard for public institutions so that Seoul citizens and businesses can grow together.”
