Sage CEO Hong Young-seok named one of Forbes' "Y30s Rising AI Leaders."

SAIGE (Co-CEOs Jong-woo Park and Young-seok Hong), an AI machine vision company, announced on the 9th that CEO Young-seok Hong has been named one of Forbes Korea's "Y30s RISING AI LEADERS." This Forbes selection recognizes the top 30 leaders in the Korean AI industry, comprehensively evaluating their technological innovation, industry influence, and growth potential.

Since co-founding Sage in 2017, CEO Hong has been advancing industrial vision solutions under the philosophy of "AI that works properly in the field." Sage's flagship product, "SAIGE VISION," is a deep learning-based machine vision solution that automatically detects atypical defects that conventional rule-based inspection methods fail to recognize. It is currently being used in the processes of major manufacturing companies such as LG Energy Solution, SK On, and Samsung SDI, and is also operating in over 100 factories worldwide.

Sage is building an integrated AI platform encompassing quality, process, and safety management, centered around three core solutions: AI-based machine vision "SAIGE VISION," manufacturing process monitoring "SAIGE VIMS," and industrial safety monitoring "SAIGE SAFETY." This technological prowess has been proven by winning the 2025 Vision Systems Design "Innovators Awards," achieving Grade 1 GS certification, KISA certification, and being selected as an industrial convergence innovation product. Furthermore, Sage secured KRW 15.5 billion in Series B funding in 2023, laying the foundation for technology commercialization and market expansion.

According to global consulting firm McKinsey, the industrial AI market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 32% through 2030, with quality control and efficiency improvements in the manufacturing sector cited as key growth drivers. Sage's technology offers practical solutions to address this demand for industrial AI.

CEO Hong Young-seok said, “This selection by Forbes is a result of Sage’s ‘field-centered AI’ philosophy being recognized in the market,” and added, “We will grow into an AI company that solves problems in industrial fields and leads global manufacturing innovation.”
