Sandbox Network Signs Business Agreement with Apla

Digital entertainment company Sandbox Network (Co-CEOs Pil-seong Lee and Byeong-gon Cha) announced on the 10th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with 3D motion generation AI company A-Pla Co., Ltd. (CEO Yong-su Lee) for joint content business and marketing activation.

This agreement is significant in that it extends beyond simple content production and encompasses IP-level planning, marketing, and sales, creating an industrial-scale collaboration model. The two companies plan to pursue a diverse range of integrated partnerships, including marketing collaboration for "A.PLA Studio," mutual brand exposure, joint promotions, and new business initiatives.

Sandbox will pursue content business diversification and virtual IP expansion based on its affiliated creators and IP assets, while Apla will leverage its metaverse and virtual content production technology and infrastructure to create new business opportunities. The two companies have agreed to establish a collaborative system across all stages, including joint business proposals, sales activities, content production, and promotion.

Sandbox is expanding new businesses centered on virtual and brand IP based on the largest creator network in Korea and IP and advertising business operation capabilities, and A-Pla is an AI-based 3D motion capture technology that can recognize full body movements with just a webcam and reflect them in real-time avatar motion, enabling creators to create content without equipment restrictions.

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to combine content IP business and technological innovation, lower barriers to entry into the domestic and international virtual content markets, and create a new growth model and industrial cooperation structure.

A Sandbox Network representative stated, “This collaboration is the first attempt to design a structure that allows creators, brands, and production companies to expand the market together,” and added, “We will build a sustainable, win-win model.”

Apla CEO Lee Yong-su stated, “Through collaboration with Sandbox, we will expand the IP-centric marketing ecosystem and present a new content business model in domestic and international markets.”
