Bestella Lab Co., Ltd. (CEO Sang-soo Jeong), the supplier of the real-time parking navigation system 'Watchmile', announced on the 12th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Oman's Indoor Intelligence specialist 'Walkk' (corporate name ROUTE SMART LLC) for the joint development of an indoor/outdoor integrated navigation solution. The agreement signing ceremony was held at the BIBAN event held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the 6th (local time), and was made possible with the support of KOTRA's overseas branch establishment project.
Walkk, an Oman-based company providing indoor location recognition and AR navigation services for hospitals, exhibition halls, and large festival venues, possesses technology that analyzes user movement data to suggest efficient travel routes. It has applied its technology to major events in Oman, including "Muscat Nights," "LEGO Shows," and the "Muscat International Book Fair."
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop an integrated indoor/outdoor global navigation solution by combining Bestella Lab's physical AI-based spatial intelligence technology with Walkk's AR navigation platform. They will also pursue a phased demonstration project centered on smart city infrastructure in major cities in the Middle East.
Vestella Lab's "Watchmile" is a physical AI-based spatial intelligence solution that combines vision AI and indoor positioning technology. Using only existing CCTV, it analyzes parking space occupancy and provides real-time guidance on available spaces. It reflects user preferences to suggest optimal parking locations, and is currently operating in major public parking lots, including Seoul Station, Cheonho Station, and KINTEX, as well as residential and industrial complexes.
Additionally, Vestella Lab is creating an environment where autonomous vehicles and robots can utilize parking and movement information by intelligentizing building infrastructure (CCTVs, sensors, etc.). Through this collaboration, Vestella Lab plans to accelerate its expansion into global markets, including the Middle East.
