– Systematically collect and recycle discontinued business mobile phones from managed businesses.
– Plans to expand the scope of resource recycling to encompass all electronic waste in the future.
As an industry leader, we actively contribute to ESG management and the implementation of a circular economy by expanding collaboration with resource recycling partners.

S&I Corporation (CEO Seo Hyun, hereinafter referred to as S&I), a comprehensive real estate management service company based on proptech, announced on the 13th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) for electronic waste resource circulation with E-Circulation Governance (Chairman Jeong Deok-gi), a non-profit public interest corporation authorized by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment.
E-Circulation Governance, a non-profit public interest corporation established in 2014, supports producers (manufacturers, importers, and retailers) who are required to collect and recycle electrical and electronic products to fulfill their recycling obligations and operates related businesses. Through this agreement, S&I plans to systematically collect and recycle discarded business mobile phones generated at its managed facilities and expand the scope of resource recycling to encompass all electronic waste in the future.
Currently, a significant portion of e-waste generated in domestic buildings is either abandoned or disposed of without systematic recycling. This creates an urgent need for infrastructure capable of efficiently recovering and safely disposing of waste resources from a resource recycling perspective.
SNI plans to transform its existing waste disposal and classification operations into a resource circulation-centered system and, by leveraging its nationwide facility management network, strengthen its key role in expanding the resource circulation system within the real estate management service industry.
To this end, we are collaborating with various companies and organizations, including the Korea Climate and Environment Network's Resources Da-it-da, to carry out reuse and recycling activities for various waste materials, such as discarded hand towels and discarded furniture, and are achieving tangible results.
Seo Hyun, CEO of S&I, said, “This agreement is very meaningful in that it establishes a system that can create environmental value based on our comprehensive real estate management service capabilities and network.” He added, “As an industry leader, we will continue to actively expand cooperation with resource recycling partners to lead ESG management and actively contribute to the practice of a circular economy.”
Meanwhile, S&I is a PropTech-based comprehensive real estate management service provider with experience managing over 500 buildings, including major LG Group affiliates, over 21,000 stores, and large-scale performance halls and broadcasting facilities. It has spearheaded the industry's digital transformation (DX) by introducing various space management solutions, including a 24-hour Integrated Operation Center (IOC), a standardized asset management system (atG), and the Office Life Care App (SandyApp) that maximizes building usability. S&I is actively pursuing a comprehensive real estate management service business model that encompasses the entire commercial real estate value chain, including facilities management (FM), real estate asset management (PM), and acquisition, sale, and lease management (LM).
