Bungaejangteo (Co-CEOs Kang Seung-hyun and Choi Jae-hwa) announced on the 13th that it received a commendation from the Director of the Intellectual Property Office at the "2025 Trademark Dispute Response Conference" held at the Grand Mercure Imperial Palace in Gangnam, Seoul. This award is recognized as a result of Bungaejangteo's contribution to protecting intellectual property and establishing a sound distribution system through the advancement of counterfeit product identification and inspection technologies.
Hosted by the Ministry of Intellectual Property, this conference featured key agenda items such as sharing the achievements of the Counterfeit Goods Distribution Prevention Council and signing a public-private partnership agreement to protect K-brands. Since its launch in 2014, the council has operated as a public-private partnership to combat the distribution of counterfeit goods, working with the government, relevant organizations, trademark holders, and online platforms.
Through its council activities, the Lightning Marketplace has contributed to trademark protection and the establishment of a sound commercial order by conducting joint public-private crackdowns on counterfeit goods and proposing policies. In particular, its proprietary AI-integrated scientific inspection solution, "Corelytics," determines the authenticity of traded goods in approximately five seconds.
Kim Jae-gun, head of the Lightning Marketplace Inspection Center, said, “We will continue to play a leading role so that Lightning Marketplace’s scientific inspection solutions and efforts to eradicate counterfeit goods become the standard for the domestic and international platform industries.”
