The Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Lee Byeong-seon, hereinafter referred to as the Jeju Center) announced that Megaplan Co., Ltd. (CEO Yoo Cheol-won), a childcare company, was selected as an excellent company at the '2025 Marine and Fisheries Accelerating Program Integrated Demo Day' held at the Pium Seoul International Conference Room in Seoul on the 12th.
This integrated demo day is a program jointly promoted by KIMST (Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology Promotion) and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, where 12 excellent startups recommended by six accelerators across the country were evaluated for their technological prowess, scalability, and business viability through IR pitching.
As a result of the evaluation, three companies—Megaplan, AIPL, and DEEPFINE—were selected as excellent companies for 2025. Among them, Megaplan, a Jeju Center childcare company, achieved consecutive successes at the National Integrated Demo Day following its Jeju Demo Day Grand Prize.
Megaplan's introduction of a smart mackerel aquaculture solution based on artificial spawning has been recognized for its technological differentiation, practical applicability, and future market scalability. Through the Ocean Value-Up program, the Jeju Center supported the company's business model advancement, expert mentoring, and commercialization funding. Furthermore, through an early-stage startup incubation fund jointly operated with MYSC, the center also provided pre-A investment. This support is believed to have led to this success.
All six ACs nationwide participated in this demo day, and Tap Angel Partners (Ocean Staff), MYSC (EMA Marine), Zephyrus Lab (Ocean Generation), and Kingo Spring (Ocean Springboard) in the general field, and Busan Regional University Technology Holdings (B-Wave) and Jeju Center (Ocean-Value Up) in the local specialized field carried out cooperative activities such as IR pitching recommendations, operation of promotional booths, and operation of consultation windows.
At the event, ten participating companies from the Jeju Center set up exhibition and promotional booths to showcase their technologies and products. These companies included Jeju Salt, With Like, Enon, Culliver, Cheese Library, Tansan Oreum, Regenbadang, and Ocean Brick.
A Jeju Center official stated, “As Jeju marine and fisheries startups have achieved success on the national stage, we will continue to provide systematic, full-cycle support to help them advance their technologies and advance into the global market.”
