
Startup Alliance announced on the 18th that it held the "Startup Catalyst Awards 2025" in Seoul. This event, newly established this year to highlight the catalysts driving the growth of the Korean startup ecosystem, selected winners in three categories: Builder, Igniter, and Integrator.
The winners were selected through a vote by 17 startup, IT, and industry journalists, based on recommendations from Startup Alliance members and advisory board members.
The winner of the Builder category was Chairman Ko Young-ha, who was recognized for his contributions to building the foundation of the domestic startup ecosystem, including the launch of the Go Venture Forum and the design of the Tips program as the first chairman of the Angel Investment Association.
Naver D2SF was selected for the Igniter category. Naver D2SF has been recognized for its early investment in technology startups with growth potential, and its early investments in the AI semiconductor sector and its support for global expansion through the establishment of D2SF US were highly regarded.
The Integrator category went to UKF (United Korean Founders). Originating as a gathering of Korean entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, UKF was recognized for its global network expansion, including hosting the "KOOM Festival" in New York.
Lee Ki-dae, director of the Startup Alliance Center, mentioned the growth of the Korean startup ecosystem and emphasized the role of supporters who have laid the foundation behind the scenes.
