Line Friends Square Makes Strategic Investment in It's Your Prime Time

Global IP retail platform LINE FRIENDS SQUARE announced on the 20th that it has made a strategic investment in IP commerce company IT'S YOUR PRIME TIME.

This investment was pursued with the strategic goals of going beyond simple collaboration and ▲developing an online and offline participatory retail centered on K-IP capsule toys ▲developing a content-based joint brand ▲advancing into an IP platform through expansion of offline bases in key commercial districts.

It's Your Prime Time owns original domestic star character IPs such as 'Odongi', 'Kim Baduk', 'Maltese', 'Kkamja', 'Cheese Duck', 'Boksuri', and 'Bushil Gamja', and is a specialized company that develops its business based on market trends and fandom preferences through many years of IP business experience.

The two companies first collaborated last October through the "Today's Cuteness Class" pop-up store. The content, which embodies both cuteness and healing, offered a new cultural experience to domestic and international tourists. The collaboration garnered attention as a "participatory IP experience" model combining popular Gen Z characters with capsule toys.

Through this investment, LINE FRIENDS SQUARE plans to foster a Korean capsule toy ecosystem centered on K-IP (Korean IP) and to present retail trends suited to the era of experience-driven consumption. The company plans to develop interactive experiences that reflect the character IP worldview and expand fandom's desire to collect, while also offering a differentiated collection experience that seamlessly connects online and offline. Furthermore, the company aims to expand the K-IP-centric capsule toy ecosystem into global markets, including Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.

A Line Friends Square official said, “This investment is an important stepping stone for us to expand our differentiated retail experience centered around K-IP together with It’s Your Prime Time and to leap forward as a representative IP platform of Korea.”
