Picardy Secures 1.6 Billion Won in Investment to Expand AI Short-Form Video Solutions Business

Picardy (CEO Wonmo Jeong), which operates the AI-based short-form video production solution 'PicaClip', announced on the 20th that it has completed a Pre-A investment round worth 1.6 billion won and is moving forward with full-scale business expansion.

Picardy's core solution, "PicaClip," automatically converts a long original video into multiple short-form videos with high viral potential in just three minutes. Compared to traditional video production, this reduces production time by 1/130th and costs by 1/40th.

"PicaClip" goes beyond simple editing. Its AI-powered approach comprehensively analyzes video highlights, hooks, unique elements, and twists, then leverages its proprietary story pattern database to create the optimal storyline. This technology has secured a diverse customer base, including individual creators, broadcasters, and corporate marketers.

Major media channels such as EBS, JTBC News, and 3ProTV are also using 'Pica Clip' to produce content.

Picardy's business model consists of a subscription service for individual customers (B2C) and a customized algorithm service for corporate customers (B2B). The B2C model has demonstrated stable revenue growth and high customer satisfaction, with 42% of paying customers opting for a one-year subscription. For B2B customers, it provides customized algorithms optimized for each channel and brand, maximizing content performance.

With this Pre-A round of funding, Picardy plans to accelerate its technological advancements and service expansion. CEO Jeong Won-mo stated, "We are focused on maximizing customer value through technology," adding, "We will lead the era of vertical AI agents specializing in the video content industry."
