Ibis Forms Strategic Partnership with QNX

Ibis (CEO Nam Ki-mo), a vehicle and mobility software company, announced that it has joined the channel partner program operated by QNX, a subsidiary of BlackBerry, as a Value Added Integrator (VAI).

Through this collaboration, Ibis aims to more quickly bring mission-critical solutions requiring safety and reliability to market, powered by the QNX® OS. Leveraging QNX's real-time operating system (RTOS) and safety certification technology, Ibis has enabled the development of high-performance, highly reliable software required by the automotive industry, securing a foundation for providing optimized solutions to domestic and international customers.

Ibis plans to expand its business into general embedded fields such as aerospace, defense, railways, robotics, and medical devices, and continue to strengthen its global customer support capabilities.

Ibis has experience supplying infotainment middleware platforms to major automakers and Tier-1 companies, including Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Motors, Hyundai Mobis, and LG Electronics. This collaboration has further enhanced its QNX-based development capabilities and is actively participating in global software alliances such as SOAFEE, AGL, and COVESA to develop next-generation mobility services based on the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV).
