Metanetsas' payroll solution, Metapay, has received ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its generative AI-based year-end tax settlement and payroll reporting service. ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard that evaluates risk management, transparency, fairness, legal compliance, and the establishment of organizational-level AI policies and improvement systems throughout the entire AI process, from design to operation and utilization.
Metapay has been recognized by AIS Certification for its operational capabilities in service environments, service stability for large-scale users, and the accuracy of automated processes. The Metapay AI chatbot helps users complete the process—from verifying personal information, entering deductions, and uploading National Tax Service files—in approximately 30 seconds after uploading their Hometax files. Furthermore, it provides 24-hour Q&A on year-end tax settlements, reducing the number of HR inquiries by over 70%.
Furthermore, AI and RPA-based automation of the four major insurance reporting processes minimized repetitive tasks and input errors, and reporting results were immediately available, enhancing work efficiency and transparency. Reporting the four major insurances is a high-cost, high-risk area, accounting for approximately 20% of payroll staff's workload. Since the introduction of Metapay, work time has been reduced by approximately 30%.
MetaPay has simultaneously obtained ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO/IEC 27701 (Personal Information Protection Management System) certifications, securing a total of five international standards, including existing ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, and 27018. This demonstrates the establishment of an organization-wide Personal Information Protection Management System (PIMS) and signifies the highest level of protection as a sensitive data processing platform.
“By securing five international standards, we have strengthened our position as the leading payroll solution in Korea, equipped with AI technology, personal information protection, and security capabilities,” said Yoon Cheol-jin, Executive Director of Metanetsas. “We will continue to enhance the completeness of our services as an Applied AI-based payroll management and tax reporting solution that our clients and users can trust.”
