Deepfine, an XR spatial computing company, announced on the 24th that it has participated in the Korea Tourism Organization's "2025 Tourism Site Problem Solving Open Innovation" initiative to build the AI tourism service "Gwangjipsa." This project aims to address inconveniences in tourism sites and enhance visitor convenience and satisfaction.
The web-based Gwangjipsa service is a platform that leverages AI technology to provide multilingual guidance, safety management, visitor density analysis, and parking congestion assessment, all integrated with map services. As the general partner, Deepfine implemented an integrated service that linked the APIs of participating companies. Deepfine developed the AI map based on its own positioning technology, including VPS and GPS, as well as XR and AI-based spatial computing capabilities.
The AI map service provides a customized user experience based on data such as each space's operating environment and purpose of visit. This service has been implemented at three locations: Suncheon Bay National Garden, Naejangsan National Park, and COEX Seoul Cafe Show.
Suncheon Bay National Garden categorizes its facilities into eight categories and analyzes visitor attractions to provide recommended tour courses and optimal routes. Naejangsan National Park's service provides hiking course recommendations and facility information based on user input such as purpose of visit, frequency of hiking, and length of stay.
To compensate for indoor environments with weak GPS signals, the Seoul Cafe Show installed QR codes containing location information at key locations throughout the exhibition hall. Visitors can scan the QR codes to confirm their exact location and receive optimal route guidance. Furthermore, AI-powered solutions based on usage data will be provided to suggest customized exhibition booths.
Kim Hyun-bae, CEO of Deepfine, said that this project is expected to contribute to improving visitor convenience and reducing operating costs, and that he will contribute to the creation of a smart tourism ecosystem by strengthening technological scalability in the future.
