
Roboligent, an AI-based mobile humanoid robot development company, announced on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Wonik Robotics, a company specializing in robot hands, autonomous driving, and robot automation, for collaboration on mobile humanoid robot technology.
This collaboration aims to develop a new application model by integrating ROBIN, an AI-based dual-arm mobile humanoid robot developed by Roboligent, and Wonik Robotics' robot hand, Allegro Hand, and to enhance precision manipulation capabilities and motion intelligence.
The two companies plan to gradually advance their collaboration, focusing on expanding the practical use environment for mobile humanoid technology, joint research and academic activities, technological exchanges, and data-based AI collaboration.
Roboligent CEO Kim Bong-soo evaluated this collaboration as a significant step forward toward realizing a practical humanoid robot, and stated that he would strengthen his commercialization strategy with Wonik Robotics in the US and global markets. He also stated that the integration of Allegro Hand would enhance Robin's manipulation capabilities and operational precision.
Wonik Robotics CEO Kim Hak-rae said the collaboration is expected to expand the company's robotic automation capabilities into the humanoid sector, and that the two companies will combine their technologies to discover new application cases applicable to various industries.
The two companies see high growth potential in the mobile humanoid robot market and plan to expand their cooperation in the global market in the future.
