Doohands, which operates the fulfillment service 'Poomgo', announced on the 27th that it has successfully completed the beta test of separate delivery to Kanto and Kansai regions in Japan, which was implemented at some of its fulfillment centers since last September to shorten the lead time of Poomgo's representative global fast delivery service 'Guaranteed arrival in Japan in 5 days', and has expanded the introduction of separate delivery to Kanto and Kansai regions to all of Poomgo's centers.
This has reduced Poomgo's "5-day Japan Arrival Guarantee" delivery lead time in the Kansai region by up to 1.5 days, reducing the current average delivery time in the Kansai region to 3 days. As a result, Poomgo can now provide faster, more reliable delivery across Japan, and even during large-scale promotional periods like Qoo10 Japan's Megawari, seamlessly responding to increased orders, further strengthening the trust of Japanese consumers.
Last year, Poomgo launched its "5-Day Japan Guaranteed Arrival," a flagship global fast delivery service that guarantees delivery within 3-5 days of a domestic shipment, once an order is placed through the platform in Japan. Previously, shipments were shipped to the Kanto region in bulk, then cleared through customs and re-delivered to the Kansai region, typically adding an extra day to delivery in the Kansai region. To address this issue, Poomgo began beta testing this feature in September at select fulfillment centers, separating shipments for the Kanto and Kansai regions. The system has since been expanded to all centers.
To efficiently operate separate delivery between Kanto and Kansai, Poomgo has introduced new proprietary technologies and significantly improved its internal systems. By implementing an automatic regional classification function based on delivery cutoff times and postal codes, Poomgo has minimized human error and improved accuracy and speed. Additionally, the Poomgo Now system has been updated to coincide with the introduction of separate delivery between Kanto and Kansai at all centers.
In recognition of its global fulfillment capabilities, Poomgo was selected as the official delivery company of Qoo10 Japan in June and joined the EFA (eBay Fulfillment Alliance) as a partner, and is stably operating Qoo10 Japan's fast delivery service, "Kandashu."
