Willog, an AIoT-based supply chain intelligence solution company, announced on the 1st that it received the Korea Biotechnology Industry Association Chairman's Award at the '2025 Bio Innovation Growth Company Merit Award' held by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Biotechnology Industry Association to commemorate Biotechnology Industry Day.
Willog was selected as the award-winning company in recognition of its contribution to improving public health by establishing a system that enhances transparency and safety in the transportation of vaccines and biological products. This achievement was driven by its proactive technological capabilities in responding to the revised "Manufacturing and Sales Management Rules for Biological Products, etc." in July 2022. The amendment mandates the introduction of automatic temperature recording devices for the transportation of biological products requiring refrigeration and freezing. Willog's IoT sensor devices are responding to this requirement, even supporting decision-making based on environmental data.
Willog is recognized for significantly improving the reliability and safety of the domestic vaccine transport system by developing a solution that digitizes the existing analog-based temperature and humidity management system. The QR code, BLE, and LTE-based sensor devices and control system were developed using proprietary technology, a first in Korea, and collect and analyze real-time temperature, humidity, shock, and location information throughout the entire logistics process. Upon receiving the product, users can immediately check the entire transport status by simply scanning the QR code or BLE signal with their smartphone, without any additional equipment or software.
CEO Bae Seong-hoon stated that this award is recognition of the company's achievements in establishing a safe biopharmaceutical distribution environment, and announced plans to expand its data-based intelligence platform across various industries through advancements in AIoT and data analysis technologies.
