
Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Yongwoo Kim, hereinafter referred to as Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center) announced that incubation company The Mare Co., Ltd. (CEO Jisung Han, hereinafter referred to as The Mare) was finally selected for the Deep Tech Track of the 'TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups, hereinafter referred to as TIPS)', which fosters advanced technology-based startups.
Dermare is a company developing regenerative medical materials based on marine PDRN. This TIPS selection is a recognition of Dermare's marine biological genetic engineering technology and its eco-friendly process capabilities for efficiently extracting and purifying high-purity PDRN from seaweed. In particular, the company was evaluated as having high innovativeness and scalability as a sustainable biomaterial technology based on marine biological resources.
Dermare CEO Han Ji-seong said, “Through this TIPS project, we plan to strengthen the scientific basis for verifying the safety and efficacy of seaweed-derived PDRN and systematically establish a quality and process foundation.” He also said, “We will also accelerate the development of sales channels through joint research with external research institutes, linking with industry networks, and securing a foundation for global expansion.”
Busan Changgyeong PM Jang Han-i said, “Dermare is a promising bio startup with eco-friendliness and technological prowess, and through this TIPS selection, it has created an important turning point for its entry into the medical market.” He added, “We will continue to actively support startups with high growth potential to scale up stably through various support such as technological advancement, investment linkage, and global expansion.”
