J&F Law Firm (CEO Bae Jun-cheol) announced on the 2nd the official launch of "Sojip," a class action platform dedicated to supporting victim solidarity and collaborative responses. "Sojip" is designed to complement the limitations of individual responses in disputes involving multiple victims and to integrate and manage the process of securing evidence, providing legal advice, and publicizing information in a single, streamlined manner, tailored to the nature of the case.
J&F launched the group to address structural issues that make it difficult for scattered victims to respond individually. Indeed, J&F has achieved substantial relief results in existing real estate class action lawsuits, including securing the full refund of the deposit and forgiveness of the down payment debt in a lawsuit over the return of an officetel pre-sale deposit.
Recently, we've noted the rapid spread of similar types of damage not only in real estate but also in the financial sector. New forms of mass damage are occurring one after another in the financial sector, including illegal coin-reading rooms, investment advice with inflated returns, and investment fraud using AI automated trading programs. J&F believes these incidents are structurally similar to existing real estate fraud, as they exploit investor sentiment.
Accordingly, J&F Law Firm plans to expand its response scope beyond real estate-based disputes to encompass all types of financial fraud through this convening, and establish an efficient, joint response system for various types of collective damage cases. Specifically, the strategy aims to maximize victims' benefits by leveraging media networks to publicize the facts of the damages and comprehensively managing the entire process, from litigation to enforcement and other actual recovery stages.
Furthermore, J&F will manage the entire process, from case analysis to enforcement, to prevent cases where the debtor conceals assets after winning a case and thus fails to reap the benefits. Furthermore, to ease the financial burden on clients, J&F plans to introduce a "responsible refund system" that will refund the consumer's payment in the event of a loss.
JNF’s representative attorney, Bae Jun-cheol, stated, “Even legal disputes that seem daunting to handle alone can be resolved quickly and with different results when we band together.” He added, “Through this convening, we will mobilize all available means, including litigation representation and media networks, to help victims recover actual damages.”
