Investment accelerator CNT Tech (CEO Jeon Hwa-seong) and Hecto Group jointly established the "Hectocon 2 Investment Fund," which announced an investment in the edutech startup NeuronSoft (CEO Choi Young-jae). The investment amount was undisclosed.
Neuron Soft operates "Passnote," an all-in-one e-book note-taking app powered by AI for private middle and high school mock exams. In line with the tablet-based paperless learning trend, Passnote is a platform that integrates e-book purchases, note-taking, mock exam solutions, and exam note-taking. Its end-to-end DRM encryption technology prevents piracy and strengthens copyright protection, providing a secure digital learning environment for academies, students, and publishers alike.
NeuronSoft's core competitive edge lies in its AI-based CSAT-style question generation and verification engine. The platform features a relearning AI structure that continuously learns and refines automatically generated questions based on correct answer rates and error pattern data, enhancing the completeness of its services. Through this, NeuronSoft is strengthening its competitiveness in the private mock exam and e-book learning markets for middle and high school students.
CEO Choi Young-jae said, “Through our AI technology for creating mock exams, we will contribute to achieving equal access to education, ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality learning content.” He added, “Through innovation in the book distribution structure, we will create an environment where authors can receive fair compensation and continue their creative work sustainably.”
