Malhaboka launches "Practical Conversation Learning"… "Building Real English Skills by Linking AI-Powered Vocabulary Learning"

Epopsoft (CEO Woojun Kim) announced on the 4th that it has opened the beta version of a new learning mode, ‘Practical Conversation Learning’, in its AI English learning app ‘Speaking’.

Practical conversation learning is designed to comprehensively utilize the existing learning modes of Malboka, including vocabulary, grammar, and expression learning, so that users can intensively improve their ability to construct sentences and express themselves verbally.

Users can select and learn stories on topics closely related to their daily lives, such as travel, work, and dieting. Each story is structured like a drama episode. Each episode naturally incorporates essential expressions for specific situations, such as phrases for exchanging money or phrases for interviews. Users can become the protagonist of stories with diverse concepts and experience highly immersive conversational learning.

In particular, we leveraged Malboka's strengths in word-based English learning to strengthen the connection between practical conversational learning and vocabulary acquisition. AI detects words and expressions users misspeak during conversational learning in real time and automatically adds them to the app's vocabulary. This functional linkage improves both conversational skills and vocabulary simultaneously.

Additionally, we minimized the 'overwhelming feeling' of other AI conversation services by providing the flow and expressions for each conversation situation in script form so that even beginners can get started without any burden.

Difficulty levels are also selectable. Based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), an international language proficiency standard, five levels are offered, from A1 to C1. Even on the same topic, the flow of conversation and the level of expression vary depending on the level of difficulty.

AI is actively utilized in practical conversational learning. When users respond via voice or keyboard, AI provides immediate, useful feedback. Users can then reflect on this feedback and try again, or create a personalized review mode by scraping expressions they wish to review.

Kim Woo-jun, CEO of Ipopsoft, said, “All of Malboka’s learning modes are organically connected to solidify users’ English skills,” and “The practical conversation learning introduced this time is a learning mode that further emphasizes Malboka’s core values of ‘fun’ and ‘effectiveness.’”

Meanwhile, Malhaboka surpassed 8 million cumulative downloads in July and is currently available in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Spanish-speaking countries.
