DAY1 COMPANY (CEO Kangmin Lee) announced on the 5th that it had won both the '10 Million Dollar Export Tower' and 'Service Tower' awards at the 62nd Trade Day ceremony.
Trade Day is a statutory holiday established to promote balanced development of the trade industry and strengthen the will to enter the trade market. Every year on December 5, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) reward companies that have contributed to expanding exports and developing overseas markets.
DAY1 COMPANY achieved over $10 million in exports over the past year, winning the "Export Tower" award. It also received the "Service Tower" award for its outstanding performance in six service export sectors, including content, healthcare, and fintech. Only nine companies are selected for the Service Tower award, including the top three companies among all applicants and the top companies in each sector.
The company attributed this award to the global competitiveness of its self-produced content and platform-based K-edutech model. DAY1 COMPANY recorded sales of 33.7 billion won and operating profit of 3.4 billion won in the third quarter of this year. Notably, its global business division grew 64% year-over-year. Following Japan, the US, and Taiwan, the company launched new services in five countries this year: Spain, the UK, France, Canada, and China.
Kim Dong-hyeok, DAY1 COMPANY Colosso and Global Division General Manager, said, “This award means that DAY1 COMPANY Colosso’s content has been recognized for its competitiveness in various overseas markets,” and added, “We will further strengthen the global expansion of K-edu content through expanding partnerships and diversifying languages and categories.”
CEO Lee Kang-min said, “I am honored to be the first in the adult education content industry to receive both awards,” and added, “We will strive to elevate K-Edu’s global status by adapting to the changing times through AI-based education solutions.”
