Commerce OS solution startup Enhance (CEO Seunghyun Lee) announced on the 5th that it presented a direction for expanding AI transformation (AX) in the defense and industrial sectors at the "Defense AI Ecosystem Development Forum." The forum was attended by numerous government officials, including Minister of National Defense Ahn Gyu-baek, Minister of Science and ICT Bae Kyung-hoon, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Kim Jeong-kwan, and Minister of SMEs and Startups Han Sung-sook, as well as representatives from private AI-related companies.
The forum held on the 3rd was designed to foster government-wide AI cooperation. The Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote AX (Axes) in the defense and industry sectors. The agreement includes: ▲ AX innovation across the entire defense and industry sectors; ▲ identifying defense AI technology demand and providing opportunities for demonstration; ▲ developing core AI technologies and establishing infrastructure; ▲ fostering AI talent; and ▲ fostering startups and SMEs.
In his keynote speech, Inhance CEO Seunghyun Lee emphasized that advanced AI solutions from private companies can become a key driving force behind the national defense AX. Under the theme of "Ontology-based AI Agent OS," Inhance presented topics such as ▲structuring complex data and deriving insights through a multi-layer architecture, ▲automating defense tasks and supporting decision-making using multiple AI agents, and ▲introducing ontology-based AI agent technology and key achievements.
CEO Seunghyun Lee said, “Expanding the Defense AX is a key factor that will determine national security and the future of the defense industry beyond technological innovation,” and added, “Enhanced AI technology will strengthen the nation’s overall AI competitiveness through practical effects such as improved communication speed, cost reduction, and increased sales.”
