
Initech (CEO Kim Chul-gyun) announced on the 8th that it has established GENOVA, a subsidiary specializing in generative AI, to strengthen its competitiveness in advanced artificial intelligence (AI)-based businesses.
Genova is exploring collaborations with various academic and research communities to secure technologies in the field of multimodal generative AI. Today, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Seoul National University AIDAS Lab (Professor Jaeyoung Do, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering). The two organizations plan to collaborate on research and development to develop next-generation AI services.
Initech plans to strengthen its AI infrastructure and service technology, centered in Genoa, based on its operational capabilities in the finance, public, and security sectors. Furthermore, by expanding research exchanges with academia, it plans to establish an AI technology foundation across industries, including the public, manufacturing, and bio sectors.
An Initech official stated, “Genova plans to expand its technology acquisition and research ecosystem cooperation across the entire AI infrastructure, and through collaboration with various organizations, it will grow into a globally competitive AI technology company.”
