GN, an intelligent connected security platform company, announced that it was selected as an outstanding company in the security field at the 2025 AIoT Innovation Awards hosted by the Korea Intelligent Internet of Things Association. The awards ceremony, held on November 26th, recognized GN's AI-based IoT and AIoT security technology and industrial applicability, and it was announced as a leading company in the security field. The Innovation Awards are a system jointly hosted by the association and eight related organizations to select innovative companies in the fields of technology, products, and services.
GN received high marks for its technological competitiveness in supporting the internalization of security in IoT products, including firmware-based vulnerability analysis, AI-based automated response strategies, and a global certification response platform. In particular, its Z-IoT platform was recognized for its high industrial applicability, utilizing AI analysis to detect vulnerabilities, automatically suggest response strategies, and map global regulatory standards.
On the 27th, the day after receiving the award, CEO Youngmin Cho gave a presentation titled “Robot Vacuum Cleaners, a New Attack Surface in the AIoT Era” at the AIoT International Exhibition Conference held at COEX. In the presentation, he selected robot vacuum cleaners as a representative AIoT device and introduced the attack surface derivation process and vulnerability analysis method based on realistic threat cases such as firmware extraction, network traffic interception, and camera control function abuse. He also explained specific directions for strengthening the safety of AIoT products by suggesting a firmware-based preemptive security internalization strategy and a response plan centered on actual device verification.
CEO Cho Young-min stated, "This award objectively recognizes GN's technological prowess. We will continue to present a security strategy that can be implemented from the manufacturing stage, contributing to strengthening AIoT security within the industry."
