Glassdom , a carbon emissions data management solution company, announced on the 9th that it held a seminar titled “Carbon Emissions Reporting: Beyond Regulatory Compliance to Competitive Advantage” for Vietnamese manufacturing companies and government officials at the InterContinental Landmark 72 Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam on the 3rd.
This seminar was organized to share a roadmap for building and verifying greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories necessary for Vietnamese manufacturers to enter the global market and to discuss measures to transition to ESG and secure supply chain competitiveness. Hosted by Glassdome and organized by Houselink Vietnam, the seminar was attended by approximately 70 organizations and companies, including the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of Korea, KOSMO, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, FPT, LRQA, Barun Law Firm, and LG Electronics VS Division.
The seminar focused on key issues facing Vietnamese companies, including legal changes and response roadmaps, international verification standards and corporate practices, and carbon data management and solution development strategies for manufacturing sites. Glassdom introduced "GHG Inventory Efficiency Measures for Sustainable Business Operations," presenting a standardized calculation system that integrates energy, raw materials, and facility data for manufacturing sites and aligns with international standards.
Yoon Tae-jin, Head of Glassdom Europe, said, “The accuracy of GHG inventories, data transparency, and verifiability are becoming key criteria for determining a company’s sustainable management and supply chain competitiveness. We will take the lead in improving the efficiency of data-driven GHG inventories so that Vietnamese manufacturers can respond proactively.”
Lee Jun-hee, head of the research institute at Barun Law Firm, emphasized, “Vietnamese manufacturing companies are facing a triple compliance environment where ESG transition, decarbonization demands from global clients, and trade regulations are all operating simultaneously.” He added, “To ensure sustainable competitiveness, a system and implementation roadmap are needed to comprehensively manage domestic regulations, global client demands, and international trade barriers.”
Glassdom plans to use this seminar as an opportunity to gradually expand its carbon management capacity-building program for manufacturing companies in Vietnam, launch demonstration projects, and establish a corporation next year. Ham Jin-ki, CEO of Glassdom, said, "We hope this seminar will serve as an opportunity for Vietnamese manufacturing companies to proactively respond to policy changes that will enhance carbon data reliability and greenhouse gas inventory accuracy."
