JLK (CEO Dongmin Kim) has expanded its subscription-based medical AI software business. JLK announced on the 12th that it has signed a contract with Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital to supply four AI software products for brain imaging analysis (JLK-LVO, JLK-CTP, JLK-CTL, and JLK-PWI). The contract is a subscription-based contract and includes maintenance and regular updates.
JLK-LVO analyzes brain CTA images to automatically calculate the presence or absence of large vessel occlusion (LVO), the location of suspected occlusion, and the vessel volume. It is currently in the process of obtaining non-reimbursable payment through the integrated review designation of innovative medical devices. JLK-CTP visualizes the volume of the cerebral infarction core and hypoperfusion region, as well as information on mismatch between the two volumes, based on brain computed tomography perfusion (CTP) images. JLK-PWI utilizes MRI-based PWI/DWI images to provide information on hypoperfusion region and cerebral infarction core, as well as information on mismatch. JLK-CTL analyzes non-contrast CT (NCCT) images to automatically calculate brain imaging information.
Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital expects the introduction of AI solutions to improve diagnostic efficiency and workflow for emergency stroke patients. Professor Lee Min-woo of the Department of Neurology at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital stated, "As part of our strategy to build a smart hospital, we are introducing cutting-edge AI solutions. We expect this to contribute to patient-centered care and expand the foundation for medical staff research and education."
JLK CEO Kim Dong-min said, “The subscription model is a structure that allows hospitals to continuously utilize AI solutions without any initial burden,” and added, “We plan to increase the usability of our stroke AI portfolio through a supply system that includes regular updates and maintenance, and expand a customized provision model tailored to the size of the hospital and the treatment environment.”
