Quantum computing startup Qnobah shared the results of its 'Deep Tech Value-Up Program', hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and operated by the Creative Economy Innovation Center, at the domestic startup event COMEUP 2025 on the 10th.
This program, in line with Sejong City's policy to foster future strategic industries, aims to discover deep-tech startups based on advanced technologies such as quantum computing, AI, and semiconductors, and support open innovation with large corporations. Sejong City will proactively identify and invest in promising deep-tech companies through the KRW 40 billion Sejong Future Strategic Industry Fund (KRW 2 billion from the city and KRW 38 billion from the private sector). Qnova was selected as the first company to receive investment from the fund.
Qnova, a startup specializing in quantum computing software, is developing technology that uses quantum algorithms to solve complex computational problems, such as new drug candidate discovery, new material design, thermodynamics, and complex systems calculations. Recently, the company achieved significant results in a joint research project with LG on quantum algorithms for thermodynamic problems, demonstrating the potential industrial application of quantum technology.
Through its participation in the Deep Tech Value-Up Program, Qnova is evaluated to have strengthened its growth momentum by expanding collaboration with large corporations, strengthening empirical research, and expanding its market verification base.
Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation CEO Oh Deuk-chang said, “Qnova’s achievement of open innovation through the program is an important starting point for building a Sejong-type deep tech ecosystem,” and “The center will continue to discover companies based on advanced technologies such as quantum computing, semiconductors, space, and mobility, and foster Sejong as a national strategic technology test bed and key hub.”
