J&P Medi Partners, a global accelerator in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields, announced on the 1st that it has signed a strategic investment partnership with Yonsei University Biohealth Technology Holdings Company to accelerate the growth of technology-based startups and help them enter the global market.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will establish a system for identifying promising technology companies and investment deals, and promote the mutual sharing of technology and corporate information. Furthermore, they will establish a structured investment review process based on joint technology reviews, corporate diagnostics, and valuation consultations, thereby strengthening the foundation for cooperation with early-stage companies.
The two parties will also jointly establish a fund specializing in biohealth technology commercialization and clinical trials. Combining Yonsei University Biohealth Technology Holdings' technology network with J&P Medi Partners' clinical and regulatory-focused investment capabilities, the partnership plans to establish a support system to proactively identify and invest in early-stage and growth-stage companies.
In addition, we will jointly operate an acceleration and business development program to provide practical growth strategies, including investment strategies, fundraising, global expansion, and business development, to technology holding companies in our portfolio. J&P Medi Partners will support these companies' scale-up efforts by providing in-depth mentoring and follow-up investment connections.
The two organizations plan to strengthen their long-term cooperation system by continuously sharing technology, market, and investment-related insights through regular exchange meetings and identifying joint projects and new investment opportunities.
Regarding this agreement, Jay & P Medi Partners Vice President Lee Jae-hyun stated that the company will support the early scale-up of technology-based startups and lay the foundation for global expansion for innovative companies in the biohealth sector.
