On the 15th, AI solution specialist company G-Mission (CEO Han Jun-seop) announced that it held an opening ceremony for the 'AX Convergence Research Center', which is dedicated to research, verification, and commercialization of next-generation AI transformation technology (AX: AI Transformation), and began full-scale operations.
The newly established AX Convergence Research Center consists of three departments: Gen.AI (Axiom Team), Physical.AI (AXLab Team), and Forge.AI (AXR&D Team). Each team is responsible for advancing AI technology, expanding industrial applications, and developing business strategies. They will establish a system that connects technological assets with marketability.
The Axiom team is responsible for researching generative AI technologies, including LLM (Large-Scale Language Model) engineering, VLM-based OCR, RAG framework development, and unstructured document structuring, and focuses on automating document processing and data analysis.
The AXLab team researches physics-based sensory, cognitive, behavioral, and autonomous technologies, including ML model development, AI vision, and IoT sensors, and promotes technology expansion into various industries, including manufacturing and security.
The AXR&D team oversees G-Mission's R&D projects and identifies new business opportunities. They connect technology strategy with business planning and perform execution-oriented activities, including government project proposals, demonstration planning, and developing AX solution commercialization strategies.
Through the launch of the AX Convergence Research Institute, G-Mission plans to establish a foundation for technological advancement and business expansion, and to establish a system to jointly develop and commercialize AI-based transformation solutions across the public, financial, and manufacturing industries by utilizing document and data automation solution technologies.
CEO Han Jun-seop said, “It is important for AI technology to go beyond the research stage and create actual efficiency,” and “AX Convergence Research Center will become a key organization that will lead the future growth of Jimision as a practical hub that connects technology, industry, and commercialization strategies.”
