Doctor Diary Wins Minister's Award for Best MyData Project

Doctor Diary Co., Ltd. (CEO Song Je-yoon) announced on the 17th that it was selected as the best project in the '2025 MyData Comprehensive Infrastructure Development Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and implemented by the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency, and received the Minister's Award. The awards ceremony was held at the '2025 MyData Conference' performance sharing session held at the COEX Grand Ballroom on December 17th.

The project undertaken by Doctor Diary was 'Personalized Healthcare Service Utilizing Chronic Disease Community', and was highly evaluated for implementing a community-based healthcare service that allows individuals to manage their own health data and decide whether to utilize it.

Users can manage their health data, including CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) data and diet and exercise information, within the app. They can also share their experiences with other community members and gain health management insights. This approach is designed to facilitate ongoing lifestyle improvement.

This project was hosted by Doctor Diary, and a consortium comprised of the Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association, Handok Co., Ltd., and the Catholic University of Korea Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation. Handok supported the data API integration of its CGM device, "BarozenFit," while the Catholic University of Korea Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation participated in service operation by providing in-app medical Q&A sessions and health management content. The Korea Type 1 Diabetes Association was responsible for recruiting participants and operating a self-help network, effectively leading the community-based participation structure.

The service faithfully implemented common MyData functions, such as easy-to-understand consent, selective data provision, and personal data download, and was evaluated as a case that demonstrated a participatory MyData model in which individuals share experiences and information within the community based on their own data.

Dr. Diary CEO Song Je-yoon said, “This award demonstrates the possibility that individuals can connect with others and gain motivation to manage their health through data,” and added, “We will continue to expand a sustainable, people-centered healthcare model through community-based MyData services.”
