Ellis Group (CEO Jae-won Kim) has become the first domestic AI education solution company to win a contract for the development of a digital textbook (IDT, Interactive Digital Textbook) led by the Singapore Ministry of Education, strengthening its position in the global education market.
Ellis Group has successfully won a competitive bid for a digital textbook system development project commissioned by the Singapore Ministry of Education. Over the next six months, the company will develop a prototype for secondary schools in Singapore and conduct verification testing at local schools. This project, in line with the Singapore Ministry of Education's Digital Transformation Roadmap for Education, aims to enhance the teaching and learning environment by leveraging AI technology.
Ellis Group has been a leader in the development of AI digital textbooks in Korea. The company has experience implementing AI digital textbooks for elementary and middle school information courses, approved and approved by the Ministry of Education, into actual schools. The company has advanced AI education technology by developing education-specific AI models that provide students with a safe AI learning environment, AI-based evaluation and feedback systems to support teachers' work, and personalized learning support features.
This Singapore project was won thanks to the technology, content design capabilities, data-driven education operation know-how, and field application experience accumulated during the development of domestic AI digital textbooks, which served as key competitive advantages. Through this project, Ellis Group will validate its AI technology in the global market and secure a global reference.
Kim Jae-won, CEO of Ellis Group, said, “It is meaningful that the technology and content accumulated through the Singapore project can be utilized in educational settings even in a situation where the introduction of AI digital textbooks was limited in Korea,” and added, “We plan to quantitatively verify the learning effect during the prototype development process and continue with expansion across subjects and long-term service commercialization.”
