Digital healthcare startup MediPal (CEO Kang Jong-il) announced on the 22nd that it achieved its first monthly profit since its founding in November. November sales grew approximately 500% year-over-year, continuing its rapid growth in a short period of time.

This growth was driven by the rapid adoption of MediPal's re-examination patient management solution, "Afterdoc." Afterdoc is a service that helps hospitals and clinics automate prognosis management by continuously communicating with patients after treatment. It focuses on reducing the burden of consultations on medical staff while improving the quality of patient care.

Through Afterdoc, patients experience a more convenient and stable communication environment throughout the treatment process, while hospitals and clinics achieve meaningful improvements across their operations, including increased consultation efficiency and return visit rates. As this value has become known, the number of hospitals and clinics with Afterdoc contracts has expanded to over 500, with over 500,000 patients connected to the service and over 20 million cumulative consultations.

Since securing a KRW 5 billion Series A investment in November 2023, MediPal has continuously improved algorithm performance based on hospital-specific consultation patterns and patient behavior data, and has built a sophisticated system that responds to various post-treatment management scenarios. This technological development, coupled with product improvements reflecting the needs of the medical field, has led to an expansion of hospital clientele and the achievement of this month's profit.

Kang Jong-il, CEO of MediPal, said, “As we have focused on the ‘aftercare’ area since the beginning of our business, our first monthly profit is a meaningful result that shows that these efforts are leading to improved operational efficiency and patient care quality in hospitals and clinics.” He added, “We will continue to grow as a core solutions company that innovates the entire operation of hospitals and clinics.”

Meanwhile, MediPal is expanding the scope of Afterdoc's application by expanding collaborations with large and medium-sized hospitals both domestically and internationally, including H+ Hanoi in Vietnam and Sejong Hospital in Incheon. Based on this partnership, MediPal plans to further develop its digital healthcare innovation model, which simultaneously enhances hospital operational efficiency and patient care quality.
