Woongjin Free Life Signs Strategic Business Agreement with Medipost

Woongjin Free Life (CEO Moon Ho-sang) announced on the 23rd that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with domestic regenerative medicine company Medipost (CEO Oh Won-il) and will move forward with the advancement of total life care services encompassing the entire life cycle, from prevention to health and old age, beyond mutual assistance.

This agreement is attracting industry attention as it expands the life care domain into regenerative medicine, building on both companies' established leadership positions in their respective fields. Amidst growing interest in anti-aging and anti-aging care, the two companies plan to jointly present a differentiated life care model centered around regenerative medicine.

The signing ceremony was held on the 18th at the Woongjin Free Life headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, with representatives and key officials from both companies in attendance to share the direction of cooperation and mid- to long-term vision.

Medipost is a leading company in the domestic regenerative medicine industry, leading the research and development of stem cell treatments and operating the cord blood bank, CellTree. Woongjin Freelife plans to enhance its healthcare services by combining Medipost's expertise with its own life care service capabilities.

The two companies will jointly pursue adipose stem cell (including immune cell) storage services and a Type 2 regenerative medicine-related partnership project in accordance with Japan's Regenerative Medicine Safety Assurance Act, and will develop a regenerative medicine service program for Woongjin Free Life members and introduce a customized package linked to the existing life care service.

The adipose stem cell storage service is a preventative healthcare service that prepares for the potential use of individual cells in regenerative medicine by storing them for the long term. The plan is to provide a systematic and reliable service by referencing the Japanese institutional environment.

The two companies will also focus on improving service operations and customer experience through joint marketing and promotions, as well as cooperation across online and offline channels.

Moon Ho-sang, CEO of Woongjin Free Life, said, “This agreement will further expand the scope of total life care that Woongjin Free Life aims to provide ‘with you from beginning to end.’ Through strategic collaboration with leading industry partners, we will provide real value to customers throughout their lives.”
