From short dramas to animations, leading innovation in the domestic short-form market.
– The first global case of a verified short drama IP being animated using AI technology.
-IP-based "one source, multi-use" strategy in full swing… Expansion of live-action and animation multi-formats

Spoon Labs (CEO Choi Hyuk-jae), a global content platform, announced that its short drama platform 'Vigloo' will release Korea's first AI-based short-form animation 'Boyfriend Finding Project – Kiss with 5 People' on the 24th.
Building on its experience leading the domestic short-form drama market, Biglu is expanding its short-form content offerings into animation, spearheading innovation in new formats. This 20-episode series marks the first global adaptation of a live-action short-form drama IP into short-form animation.
Biglu judged that the romance fantasy and school genres were suitable for animation, and selected the Japanese original IP 'Boyfriend Search Project – Kiss with 5 People -', which had already been produced as a short drama and had a proven story and characters, as the target of its first AI animation production.
"Boyfriend Finding Project – Kissing 5 Men" tells the story of Himeka, a high school girl who's been single since birth, as she searches for true love by kissing five men she meets in a mysterious mansion after school, one a day. The mansion's rule—she must confess to the one she's most attracted to on the sixth day—adds to the fun and suspense.
Biglu incorporated AI technology into the production process to achieve cel animation acting. Using sophisticated prompts, the film naturally embodies the fairytale-like expressions and character movements characteristic of cel animation. This, combined with the fantastical setting, visual-focused character portrayal, and emotionally charged directing—all of which were difficult to capture in a live-action version—enhanced the film's quality.
With the release of this work, Biglu is embarking on a full-fledged IP-based OSMU (One Source, Multi Use) strategy. Going forward, the company plans to gradually internalize AI-based animation production capabilities while expanding a single IP into various formats, including live-action short dramas and animations.
Spoon Labs CEO Choi Hyuk-jae said, “By presenting new content that combines the imagination of webtoons with the fast tempo of short dramas, we have confirmed the potential of AI production in the animation field,” and added, “As a leading company in short dramas, we will continue to provide users with more diverse content experiences.”
