Webring and The Essie Sign MOU to Support Employment and Entrepreneurship for International Students

Webring (Wica Corporation), an integrated platform for foreign settlement and living, announced on the 24th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the medical and bio global marketing company, The S&C, to promote domestic settlement, employment, and entrepreneurship for foreign students and foster global talent.

Through this agreement, the two companies will pursue multifaceted collaboration, including joint planning and operation of employment, entrepreneurship, and internship programs; education and career development; cultural exchange programs; and information sharing and joint research to support settlement and employment. A particular focus will be on providing hands-on, immersive career experiences. The SSC will provide recruitment information, practical content, and on-site participation opportunities based on its field experience and industry data in the medical and biotech industries.

Webring supports pre-assessment and matching of international students based on their visa and residency status, language proficiency, major, career experience, and desired job position. Webring also oversees program operations, including multilingual communication, participant guidance, and attendance and satisfaction management. Furthermore, when recruiting or internships, Webring provides settlement support, including information on visa changes and extensions, insurance, and lifestyle information, to help international students adapt to life in Korea.

Webring CEO Jo Mi-young stated, "For international students, employment is not simply a job offer; it's the starting point for their lives in Korea. This agreement is significant in that it creates a structure that connects education, field experience, employment, and settlement." The S&C CEO Yang Seung-cheol stated, "We will expand job-based content and field programs to help international students experience the industrial structure and practical work, and we will work together to ensure these programs lead to practical career opportunities."

Based on this agreement, the two companies plan to pursue a step-by-step joint implementation plan, including establishing a channel for recruiting international students, conducting preliminary assessments, operating job camps, linking interviews, and establishing a permanent matching system based on a database of excellent talent.
