
Medical AI (CEO Kwon Jun-myeong), a medical artificial intelligence (AI) specialized company, achieved a grand slam by simultaneously obtaining five international certifications related to information security and personal information protection, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, HIPAA, GDPR, and CSA STAR.
With this certification, Medical AI is officially recognized as meeting the world's highest standards for healthcare and personal information protection, including the US HIPAA and the European GDPR. Considering the sensitivity of medical data, the company has prioritized information security and personal information protection as core management elements since its inception, establishing a management system aligned with global standards.
ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems, ensuring that companies safely protect customer information and systematically manage security risks. ISO 27701 is an international standard for personal information protection management systems, assessing compliance with global privacy regulations such as the GDPR. CSA STAR assesses the security and reliability of cloud services. HIPAA and GDPR define the healthcare information and personal information protection systems required in the US and European markets, respectively.
With this certification, Medical AI now holds a total of eight international certifications. It previously received ISO 13485 (Medical Device Quality Management System) in 2022, ISO 37301 (Compliance Management System) in April of this year, and ISO 37001 (Anti-Corruption Management System) in April of this year.
