Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Oh Deuk-chang, hereinafter referred to as Sejong Center) held a general meeting to establish the 'Sejong Painters Startup Innovation Fund No. 1 Investment Association' together with private investment firm Painters & Ventures (CEOs Lee Jeong-hoon and Kim Gyeong-sook), and formalized full-scale joint investment in startups in the Sejong region.
Painters & Ventures Co., Ltd. is the only global accelerator and venture capital firm in the Sejong region. It operates TIPS and LIPS, which "paint together" the core resources necessary for the fundamental growth of early-stage companies and their establishment in domestic and international markets.
Sejong Painters Startup Innovation Fund No. 1 Investment Association focuses on early-stage startups and venture companies, and plans to focus on supporting the global growth of early-stage companies by discovering and investing in promising tech companies in the Sejong region.
A Sejong Center official stated, “The formation of this fund will be an opportunity to substantially increase investment accessibility for Sejong City’s early-stage startups through collaboration with local private investment firms,” adding, “Based on Painters & Ventures’ global expansion perspective and investment expertise, which is based outside the metropolitan area, we expect them to be a key partner that will accelerate the growth and market establishment of local startups.”
