Meisa, a drone and satellite space analysis AI company, announced on the 23rd that it has completed a pre-IPO investment of 10 billion won. This investment brings Meisa's cumulative investment to approximately 35 billion won, and the company is targeting an IPO in the second half of 2026.
This pre-IPO round attracted a number of new investors, including LIG Nex1-IBK Capital Defense Innovation Fund, GVA Asset Management, NH Hedge Asset Management, Painters & Ventures, Vision Equity Partners, Triangle Partners, and ID Ventures. Existing shareholder G&Tech Venture Investment and lead underwriter Kiwoom Securities also participated as investors. The fact that the lead underwriter also participated as an investor demonstrates market confidence in Meisa's business model and growth potential. Furthermore, with LIG Nex1 joining the ranks of Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and the other two companies in the K-defense industry, Meisa is attracting attention as the first company to be selected by two of the "Big Four" companies.
Meisa operates an AI platform that collects and analyzes multi-source spatial data from satellites and drones, providing real-time insights. Unlike traditional spatial data utilization methods that rely on manual work and post-analysis, Meisa supports decision-making in both the private and public sectors through automated analysis and response systems.
In particular, Meisa provides a SaaS-based platform, and major domestic construction companies such as DL E&C, HDC Hyundai Development Company, and Lotte Engineering & Construction routinely utilize the platform at construction sites nationwide. Building on its experience in the construction industry, where digitalization is challenging, the company is expanding its scope of application to the defense and space sectors, diversifying its business portfolio.
Choi Seok-won, CEO of Meisa, said, “This pre-IPO investment is a verification of the scalability of Meisa’s spatial analysis AI platform,” and added, “We will leap forward as a company with a long-term growth structure by advancing our technological infrastructure and expanding our application areas.”
