TUV SUD Signs Business Agreement with Induk Science and Technology High School

TUV SUD, a global testing and certification agency, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Induk Science and Technology High School for industry-academic cooperation on 'high-voltage electric vehicle safety education' to foster future mobility talent.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both organizations, including TUV SUD Korea CEO Seo Jeong-wook and Induk Science and Technology High School Principal Lee Myeong-seop. The two parties agreed to establish and strengthen domestic high-voltage electric vehicle safety standards and pursue multifaceted cooperation, including providing training based on German standards and practical application, and sharing training venues and facilities.

Seo Jeong-wook, CEO of TUV SUD Korea, said, “Through this agreement, we have established a foundation for high-voltage electric vehicle safety training to be conducted in a more systematic and professional practice environment.” He added, “Based on our accumulated global certification know-how, we will build a sustainable industry-academia cooperation model and contribute to fostering talent for the future mobility industry.”

TÜV SÜD Korea is currently offering 'High-Voltage Electric Vehicle Safety Training Level 1' and 'Level 2' courses based on German regulations. Anyone who needs knowledge of high-voltage electric vehicle safety, including auto mechanics, parts developers, and electric vehicle service professionals, can take the training.

Lee Myeong-seop, principal of Induk Science and Technology High School, said, “As a specialized high school with an agreement in the smart city field, we are actively incorporating smart city-related technologies, such as autonomous driving, into our curriculum in cooperation with companies.” He added, “Through this agreement, we expect that students in the smart mobility department will gain the expertise to play an important role in the field of electric vehicle safety.”
