Job Korea (CEO Hyun-Jun Yoon) announced on the 17th that it has signed a contract to acquire the platform and related businesses of the career platform 'Job Planet' operated by Brain Commerce through a transfer of business.
This transaction was structured as a separate acquisition of the Jobplanet platform and its associated personnel and business, rather than a share acquisition or merger. The contract was signed in December, and closing is scheduled for December 31st. Jobplanet will become a subsidiary of JobKorea on January 1, 2026.
JobKorea established a separate subsidiary for this acquisition, and the entity plans to change its name to "JobPlanet Ltd." The acquisition funds were determined to reflect JobPlanet's growth potential and the anticipated benefits of integrating with JobKorea.
Job Korea operates a matching-focused recruitment platform leveraging AI recommendation technology, based on recruitment data accumulated over 29 years and spanning 30 million members. It has secured a leading position in the domestic recruitment platform market, leveraging its competitive edge by combining job postings, application history, and job and company data.
Jobplanet is a platform that provides company-related information, including company reviews, salary information, and interview reviews, and has approximately 1.5 million monthly users.
Through this acquisition, JobKorea plans to combine job posting data with company review data to provide job seekers with more three-dimensional and reliable information and enhance the user experience across the entire job search process, from job application to company exploration and application decision-making. Going forward, JobKorea's job postings will be displayed on the JobPlanet platform, and JobPlanet's company review content will also be sequentially integrated into the JobKorea service.
Yoon Hyun-jun, CEO of Job Korea, said, “This acquisition of Jobplanet is a strategic decision to organically connect recruitment information and corporate information to provide real value to both job seekers and companies,” adding, “Starting next year, when we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we will accelerate the advancement of our data- and AI-based platform.”
