
Green bio specialist company Genolution CEO Kim Ki-ok announced on the 16th that he received the 'Korea University Economic Personnel Award' from the Korea University Economic Association on the 12th in recognition of his contributions to corporate management and national economic development.
The Korea University Economics Award is given to businessmen and economists who have graduated from Korea University and have demonstrated outstanding achievements and contributions over the past year.
CEO Kim Ki-ok has over 40 years of experience in diagnostic medicine and medical devices. He founded Genolution in 2006 and spearheaded the domestic production of nucleic acid extraction equipment and reagents. Based on its proprietary nucleic acid extraction platform and RNA technology, Genolution exports its products to over 50 countries, securing global competitiveness.
CEO Kim received the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in 2021 and achieved the "70 Million Dollar Export Tower." He also contributed to strengthening the status of K-Quarantine by supplying diagnostic products domestically and internationally during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Genolution has recently expanded its business beyond precision medicine into green biotechnology. In 2024, it received product approval for the world's first honeybee gene therapy, "HoneyGuard-R." In May 2025, it signed an MOU with Kyungnong to develop next-generation crop protection products, strengthening its RNA technology-based new business.
