Seelab Signs AI Video Analysis Business Agreement with Japan's Udec

Vision AI specialist company Seelab (CEO Se-hyeok Yoon and Jeong-hwan Chae) announced on the 15th that it has signed an AI video analysis business contract with UDEC, a Japanese city and transportation simulation specialist company.

This project utilizes Cielab's AI video analysis solution, XAIVA, to analyze congestion conditions in major Japanese railway stations in real time and develop customized solutions tailored to the local environment. The goal is to establish an AI-based safety management system optimized for the Japanese railway environment.

Udec, a company with extensive experience in urban design and transportation infrastructure in Japan, specializes in optimizing public transportation IT systems, including railways and roads. The two companies plan to combine Udec's field data and simulation capabilities with Seelab's AI video analysis technology to implement AI safety and congestion management solutions tailored to Japan's transportation environment.

Seelab provides railway station safety management functions, including occupancy counting, pedestrian movement analysis, congestion prediction, and risk alerts, through X-IVA. This helps alleviate congestion and prevent safety accidents. X-IVA has proven its effectiveness in providing guidance to vulnerable users and preventing fare evasion in a 2021 application on Seoul Subway Line 3.

Seelab plans to continuously expand its AI business in Japan by expanding the scope of X-IVA application to the Japanese transportation environment and strengthening cooperation with local partners such as Udec.

Yoon Se-hyeok, CEO of C-Lab, said, “This contract means that C-Lab’s AI technology has been recognized in complex traffic environments through a Japanese government public support project,” and “We will use this project as an opportunity to secure AI video analysis references in the Japanese and global markets.”
