Sandoll Co., Ltd. (CEO Youngho Yoon), a content creator platform company, announced on the 15th that it was selected as the recipient of the Prime Minister's Commendation at the '2025 Venture Startup Promotion Merit Awards' hosted by the Korea Venture Business Association. The awards ceremony was held at the COEX Grand Ballroom in Seoul on the 10th, and Sandoll received the highest honor in the venture revitalization venture company category.
The Venture Startup Promotion Merit Award recognizes outstanding venture companies based on a comprehensive evaluation of their technological prowess, management innovation, global growth potential, corporate ethics, and social contribution activities. Sandoll was recognized for its AI-based service innovation, high-quality font development, multilingual font technology, and contribution to social value.
Sandoll has integrated AI into its proprietary font design standards, implementing AI-based font search and automatic recommendation features in Sandoll Cloud to enhance user experience and font utilization efficiency. Furthermore, by securing patents related to web font technology, Sandoll offers optimized usability across a wide range of devices, including high-speed rendering and lightweight design, improving content creation productivity.
In line with the expansion of the content industry, Sandoll continues to develop multilingual and branding-specific fonts optimized for digital and global environments, supporting the establishment of visual identities for domestic and international companies. In the global market, Sandoll has secured technological prowess and reliability through the expansion of CJK-based multilingual font projects and custom font development partnerships with companies such as Apple, IBM, Samsung Electronics, and LG. Through the acquisition of image content company Vivitree in 2023 and Yoon Design in 2024, Sandoll has strengthened its font IP and image content capabilities, expanding its business structure into a comprehensive creative IP company.
In terms of social value, Sandoll has established the largest free font ecosystem in Korea and increased accessibility to creative writing by providing fonts to public, educational, and non-profit organizations.
