The Invention Lab (CEO Jinyoung Kim), an early-stage investor and operator of TIPS, announced on the 12th that it has made new and follow-up investments in 11 promising startups demonstrating growth across various industries. These investments were made based on a combined evaluation of technology-based sustainable growth potential and the potential for lifestyle innovation.
The follow-up investment targets include five companies: GoToJoy, which operates a time-based hotel reservation platform in the Vietnamese OTA market; MotionLabs, which provides AI-based non-face-to-face visit management software; Mithril, which developed Guardian-Alpha AI, an industrial accident prevention solution; Zarasoft, which operates Blume, a facial recognition-based video masking solution; and Galloping, which provides technical analysis and customized training for soccer players.
Three companies were selected for new investment: ABR, which remanufactures secondary battery cathode and anode materials using direct recycling technology; Diald AI, an AI-based research solution that supports automated real estate analysis; and Intflow, which developed Edge Farm, a non-face-to-face livestock monitoring solution.
New investments were also made in the K-lifestyle sector. Three companies were included in the investment lineup: Grandmother's Buttoomak, a restaurant brand offering a modern take on traditional baekban (Korean rice bowl); Kindoff, a fashion brand based on archived K-pop artist clothing; and Heydish Korea, which offers a variety of kimbap combinations and dipping sauces to create new dining trends.
“We are expanding our investment scope beyond technology-driven innovation to include brands that redefine everyday experiences,” said Jinyoung Kim, CEO of The Invention Lab. “We will create tangible impact across diverse industrial ecosystems and grow alongside startups.”
