
The Daejeon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Park Dae-hee) announced on the 9th that it held a launch ceremony for the "Robot Convergence Field Innovation Investment Alliance" at its Daejeon Startup Park headquarters and has begun full-scale efforts to foster a startup and investment ecosystem in the deep-tech-based robotics convergence field. This alliance, part of the "Deep-Tech Scale-up Valley Promotion Project" promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, aims to discover and nurture promising and early-stage deep-tech companies, and to cooperate in attracting investment.
A total of 15 organizations participated in the launching ceremony, including Daejeon Innovation Center, Daejeon Investment & Finance, Gwangju Regional University Technology Holdings, Hanbat National University Technology Holdings, Gravity Ventures, Daedeok Venture Partners, Lee Ventures, Mirae Science & Technology Holdings, Blue Point Partners, Smilegate Investment, Etri Holdings, JB Ventures, Chungnam National University Technology Holdings, KAIST Holdings, People Investment, and Korea Science & Technology Holdings, and agreed to establish a cooperative system.
Each investment firm agreed to actively cooperate to discover, nurture, and attract investment in promising and early-stage startups in the robotics convergence field. Daejeon Innovation Center CEO Park Dae-hee stated, "Collaboration among investors will be a key foundation for the growth of robotics deep-tech startups. We will focus our support on companies with innovative ideas."
Daejeon Investment Finance CEO Song Won-gang said, “We expect that investment in the robotics deep-tech sector will expand through the alliance,” and added, “We will actively discover companies with high growth potential and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
The launch of this alliance is significant in that it provides a foundation for the growth of regional robotics convergence startups, and the Daejeon Innovation Center plans to systematically expand its support for innovative companies going forward.
