Kibo to Host 'Next Scale: Singapore VC Forum'

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jong-ho Kim) announced on the 9th that it held the 'Next Scale: Singapore VC Forum' at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan to support domestic startups in attracting overseas investment.

This event was organized to share areas of interest in the global investment industry and expand overseas investment opportunities for domestic companies by inviting investment reviewers from Singaporean venture capital firms Cento Ventures and Altara Ventures.

The forum was attended by approximately 50 people, including domestic startups and venture companies hoping to expand overseas, as well as global investment institutions and accelerators, who built networks and identified market trends.

In the presentation session, Singaporean VC speakers presented on digital innovation-based investment strategies and opportunities in the Korean and Southeast Asian digital finance markets. Kim Jeong-in, CEO of Hyperlounge, and Yeo In-seop, Managing Director of VentureBlick, then shared successful examples of attracting overseas investment and global expansion strategies.

The panel discussion discussed domestic startups' strategies for attracting global investment and expanding overseas. A lively Q&A session provided practical experience and insight.

Kibo plans to use this forum as an opportunity to strengthen its network with overseas venture capital firms and expand the scope of its cooperation, including standardizing overseas evaluation models in conjunction with Kibo's global technology evaluation system.

Kim Dae-cheol, CEO of Kibo, said, “Attracting overseas investment is a crucial turning point for startups to advance to the growth stage,” and added, “Kibo will continue to collaborate with global VCs to support promising domestic startups to achieve stable growth in overseas markets.”
