Freewillin Signs Business Agreement with Hallym University

Edtech startup Freewillin (CEO Kwon Ki-seong) announced on the 9th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hallym University (President Choi Yang-hee) to build an 'AI Integrated Class Platform (AI-HiED)' that integrates and operates AI courseware and higher education verification models for all subjects based on LMS.

This agreement will integrate Freewillin's university education AI courseware, PulleyCampus, into Hallym University's LMS using the LTI standard. This will establish a structure for the integrated operation of proven courseware, teaching and learning models, and diagnostic models developed and verified by Hallym University's Softlab over the past two years within the LMS environment. This standard LTI-based integration also allows other domestic universities to utilize the AI courseware without requiring separate development, ensuring scalability.

The AI-HiED platform goes beyond the simple lecture material provision of existing LMSs, designing a learning structure that integrates AI diagnosis, personalized learning, supplementary content, evaluation, and empirical use into a single flow. This platform will be implemented in Hallym University's LMS starting with the 2025 winter semester. Students will be able to seamlessly access basic academic assessment, personalized learning, and supplementary content with a single LMS login, while instructors will be able to use empirical data to edit and restructure courseware for liberal arts, major, and non-curricular classes.

Hallym University President Choi Yang-hee said, “This agreement is the first domestic case of expanding a national demonstration model into actual LMS-based education operation,” and added, “It will contribute to the spread of the ‘K-University’ model that leads the cultivation of creative and convergent talents and innovation in higher education.”

“Freewillin will integrate AI learning engines and proven courseware into the LMS to support the implementation of educational innovations in actual curriculum,” said Kwon Ki-seong, CEO of Freewillin.
