Global AI edutech English education company iPortfolio (CEO Kim Seong-yoon) announced on the 5th that it was selected as an excellent organization for the 6th consecutive year in the '2025 Korea Reading Management Excellent Workplace' certification hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency.
The Reading Management Excellence Certification System is a system designed to promote a reading culture within companies. It selects outstanding organizations by evaluating their reading-friendly environment and operational performance. Since its first certification in 2020, iPortfolio has been recognized as an excellent company for six consecutive years, demonstrating its ability to foster a reading-based organizational culture.
iPortfolio has operated various in-house programs to encourage voluntary reading. Through a book recommendation system in which executives and leaders directly participate, the company regularly suggests books to employees, strengthening the reading culture throughout the organization. The company-wide reading program "Read & Share" encourages all employees to read the same book, engage in follow-up activities, and exchange opinions.
The in-house reading lounge, "Book Rest Area," offers free book lending, increasing accessibility to reading in everyday life. Furthermore, a culture of sharing book reviews written by employees has been established, fostering the dissemination of ideas and insights. Team-based reading groups and discussion groups are also actively underway.
iPortfolio's reading-centered management philosophy is reflected in its service strategy. Its flagship platform, "Reading&," is an English reading learning service with "English acquisition through reading" as its core value. It is considered an example of a company's internal reading culture extending into its educational philosophy and business model.
CEO Kim Seong-yoon stated, "The critical thinking skills of our members are directly linked to the overall capabilities of an organization. Individuals and organizations that don't read will struggle to remain competitive in the AI era." He added, "I hope that students will enjoy reading through Reading & and develop practical English skills through our 'READ to SPEAK' English education."
