Claudio Wins Presidential Award at the 13th Government-Wide Public Data Utilization Startup Competition

Chungnam Content Promotion Agency announced that Claudio (CEO Gilhan Kim), a company nurtured and supported by Chungnam Content Korea Lab, won the Presidential Award (Grand Prize) at the '13th Government-wide Public Data Utilization Startup Competition King of Kings' held at Osco in Cheongju on the 3rd.

This year's King of Kings competition is a nationwide competition where excellent startup teams that passed the preliminary rounds from 50 organizations, including central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions, compete for innovation based on public data. This year, innovation in AI and data utilization has been newly added as judging criteria.

Claudio developed a "Korean Traditional Music Virtual Instrument," combining AI and digital signal processing (DSP) technology based on Korean traditional music digital sound data held by the National Gugak Center. This allows anyone to easily create traditional music. This technology has been praised for modernizing traditional sounds and enhancing the global potential of K-culture.

Last year, Claudio participated in the Chungnam Content Korea Lab's new startup support program, receiving accelerator and commercialization funding to launch his startup. Within three months of launching, the company achieved 40 million won in sales and was again selected as an excellent company by the Chungnam Content Korea Lab this year. The Chungnam Global Game Center is also planning to provide support for its move-in and global marketing efforts.

Kim Gok-mi, the president of the Chungnam Content Promotion Agency, said, “Claudio’s attempt to combine AI and data technology is an innovative example of a local content startup,” and added, “We will continue to actively support the discovery of promising startup teams and the development of the local content industry, centered around the Chungnam Content Korea Lab.”
